So please tell me how to get it unbroken.

On my Debian system, I did "svn revert", "svn up", "bootstrap", "toolbox
--update-includes" and I get nasty errors like this :

root at LinUx4:~/programs/videolan# ./bootstrap ...blabla...

Copying file autotools/mkinstalldirs

NONE:0: /usr/bin/m4: ERROR: EOF in string

or

./toolbox: line 43: /Makefile.am: No such file or directory
sed: can't read vlc-config: No such file or directory
./toolbox: line 409: /include/vlc_symbols.h.in: No such file or directory
./toolbox: line 410: /include/vlc_symbols.h.in: No such file or directory
./toolbox: line 411: /include/vlc_symbols.h.in: No such file or directory

This command never ends...
