Okay. The CVS for libcdio currently has libparanoia support (and the
cdparanoia command). So at some point in the vague future, a paranoia
option will be added to cddax.

Okay. It which ways doesn't it work? Does vcd-info from the vcdimager
package dump the contents of this VCD?

Okay.

I suppose it could be. I think still frames are as broken as they ever
were, and there's the issue of figuring out how to keep vlc from
creating a new window when the video parameters change such as from
motion MPEG to a high-resolution still frame. By default playback
control is turned off, however it's still accessible get it turned on
by specifying it.

Keyboard input for navigation is also broken. But in contrast to
handling still frames, that could probably be corrected by more
straight-forward programming, without extraordinary feats of inference
and experimentation.

Because it's possible for a user to issue a playback command that,
depending on the VCD, may get one into a weird situtation, a
suggestion is to allow one configure vcdx but not have it set by
default if libcdio + libvcdinfo are found.
