Please don't let this stop you from trying to influence this btw. It's 
only when users start complaining to companies about issues as these 
that they get fixed. this is clearly a policy of "he, it works with our 
client, so now we are done implementing the spec" as with so many other 
companies, and it is disappointing.

Please complain about it, or issues like this won't cease to exist. 
It's better that ppl design their own separate format if they don't 
plan on keeping to standards. It is confusing to users.
