this should be a more appropriate patch instead..
in reference to the ml discussion `wx compatiblity' by Daniel Stränger:

this patch tries to accomodate for using the wx2.5.1 library..
attaching patch file: diff-wx2.6.x-intf-minsizes-stackvars(360)
but still have yet to be able to pinpoint the exact version when
SetMinSize() was added to class wxWindow.
