  * bindings/java/Makefile.am: use JAVACXXFLAGS and JAVALDFLAGS instead of
    the reserved words CXXFLAGS and LDFLAGS.
  * configure.ac: remove spaces inside parentheses that confuse automake.
  * Makefile.am: do not use both = and += inside conditionals.
