[vlc-devel] firewire

Hi developers..
Well I have some troubles capturing from a firewire interface;
I have a sony miniDV cam and I tried to capture  with the vlc through
the firewire interface from my PC, but the picture looks like without
sync;
are there options to capture from a firewire?? like capturing from
"v4l" for example "norm","frecuency", etc to improve the picture??
my command to capture is:

vlc -vvv dv/rawdv:///dev/raw1394 --dv-caching 10000
