I show 3.10.1 mingw-runtime, with gcc-mingw-core and gcc-mingw-g++ being
20050522-1.
Possibly related to my prior post about libgcrypt, that there's something in
mingw that doesn't play nice relative to gettimeofday?

Hi, what is your version of mingw ?
It seems my headers don't have gettimeofday and I use 3.4.5
[fun at zod /usr/i686-mingw32/include]% grep -rn gettimeofday .
[fun at zod /usr/i686-mingw32/include]%

Maybe your mingw version is buggy ?
