[vlc-devel] displaying multiple streams in a single display

hi,

i am planning to start work on enabling VLC to display a number of 
streams in a single display. The target is to have a partitioned display 
(i'm sure there's a better term for this...) and have vlc display each 
stream onto a different portion of the same window.

Since i'm fairly new w/ vlc i'd very very VERY much appreciate it if 
someone could give me hints on whether this is feasible and a rough 
overview of what is required to develop...

i really could use all the help i can get...
