We[1] have already discussed this 
(https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/121) and decided to drop 
it. "http-path" is non-standard; in fact, it actually violates the SDP 
standard. We have already UPnP and Apple's equivalent to advertise HTTP 
streams, and SDP is really not designed to do that. I still think this 
is a bad idea.
