[vlc-devel] VLC crashes when repeating in MP4

hi

i've noticed that over arbitrary periods of time VLC sometimes crashes 
when repeating a stream in MP4 mode...

To be precise not only does it crash, but apparently the server goes 
into kernel panick and dies..!
It has been observed that VLC tends to flood the CPU at some point in 
this mode and it could be source
of the failure.

All this under Ubuntu Linux on a Sunfire 2100.

has anyone observed similar behaviour or any ideas what might be at fault?
