[vlc-devel] behavior control variables

Hello VLC-gurus,

I have requirement to control the VLC behavior programatically based on
external conditions, behavior i mean dynamically changing framerate and
controlling things like muting audio, pausing/play etc. So i wanted to
know where exactly in the source base i can find the control variables?

any ideas like how i can do that?
