Update:

I checked out branch 0.8.5-href from SVN and compiled and this streams
and plays my h264 files fine. Which to me indicates that my compile
environment/settings should be ok.
I have alse tried compiling the 0.8.6 trunk with different contrib
files but with the same errors.
