[vlc-devel] VLC-0.8.6b: Teletext charset problems

Hi all,

during tests of upcoming 0.8.6b version we've encountered problems with
teletext subtitle decoder and Central European characters. It seems that
several characters are being converted to their closest ASCII match e.g.

C^ is displayed as C (happens with most uppercase CE characters)
l' is displayed as l

etc.

On the other hand, several other CE characters are displayed
properly, even the ones not present in Western codepage.

Anyone has an idea what can be wrong, or where to start looking?

	Thanks & kind regards,

		M.
