Thanks, then according to http://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/1291 that 
would be hawkinsw, but unless I am mistaken there seems to be no direct 
way to obtain a user's contact details through trac? I have updated that 
ticket with my bug report, but I'm not sure how else I can contact him.
