[vlc-devel] Regarding support for codecs

Hi,

I am using Live555 as streamingserver and vlc as client player. Server sends
data in PCM samples. Due to network limitations I want to send encoded data
to vlc during streaming (like may be gsm, speex...). Is it possible to
stream other encoded samples. I will convert PCM samples to say GSM and send
GSM coded  RTP packets and VLC is able to decode and play encoded packets.
