BTW, there seems to be a bug with the audio controls in V4L2.  It's trying to var_CreateGetInteger() on v4l2-audio-[volume,balance,mute] when those options don't exist.  I'll generate a patch as soon as my previous MPEG2 changeset has been committed to SVN.
