[vlc-devel] [Patch] libtar autodetection

Hi,

as far as my understanding of vlc goes libtar does not seem to be
strictly needed for the skins2 module, however its presence is
automatically detected and libtar support is enabled if it's found.

It would be nice to be able to disable it even if libtar is present on
the system. (this causes compile failures if one has only libtar.a
that is not built with PIC on an arch that needs PIC for shared libs)

Please find enclosed a trivial patch (applying to trunk) that adds a
--enable/disable switch to be able to do so ;)

Regards,

Alexis.
