[vlc-devel] video filter/video filter2

Hi

- Please could someone explain the difference between the "video filter" 
and "video filter2" architectures and in what situations they should be 
used. 
- Is it possible to have different input and output image sizes using 
"video filter2". 
- Is one architecture faster than the other (eg does one involve an 
extra image copy)? 
- Can any "video filter" filter be rewritten as a "video filter2" filter?
