Hi all,
I've developped a basic teletext subtitle decoder for vlc (stream with
fourcc 'telx'). It has been tested with only one sample so far, coming
from a TV broadcast of the ISP Free in France (Channel France 2)
The patch is against vlc-0.8.6. You need to run ./bootstrap after you've
applied the patch. Then ./configure and make should work as is.
Things to improve :
- at the moment, only the page 888 is considered for decoding (it
should be standard enought in most cases), to do is adding an option in
vlc to choose which teletext page contains subtitles, and even possibly
allow several pages to be decoded at the same time (like in ProjectX).
Vincent Penne.
