[vlc-devel] Help！

Hi,all:
    I'm using kdevelop to compile and debug vlc, I downloaded the vlc source code from the website, downloaded the third party libs .
    Now I can use "./configure;make;meke install" to install vlc player successfully. But when I use kdevelop to import the project directory, It can't be built successfully. I want to debug the programme, Who can give  me some suggestion?? Is it right to use kdevelop to compile the programme? Any other IDE?
