[vlc-devel] libtool-related question for win32 and mac os x ports

Hi

Recently, courmisch submitted a change
(https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/changeset/20486) that indicates that
disabling libtool is strongly discouraged.  I wholeheartedly agree that
using only one solution (libtool) is the best approach. However, given
that the win32 and Mac OS X ports both disable libtool in their standard
builds, should they be considered as broken, and related bugs opened  ?
