[vlc-devel] streaming quicktime and vlm

Hi all,

I've been working on the vlm subsystem and am almost ready to submit a patch, just working out a few kinks. An mpeg4 video streams fine using the python bindings now. The code segfaults when the video is done playing though. I am working on fixing that.

One interesting thing I came across during testing is that I can play a quicktime .mov fine in vlc, but cannot stream it (even using the command line). Do I need to transcode it first? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Andrew
