Hi again,


1) If close the window, or 'stop' the video and then 'File -> Quit', the vlc process

doesn't seem to terminate. Even one hour later, a ps auxwww | grep wxvlc will

show a result.



2) I got conflicts with different wxwidgets on my own machine. I fixed it, vlc
can check wx params in a true way, even with unicode, but I still have a
warning panel at startup : Error : Cannot set locate to ' '. 
Related logs :

(process:15051): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library

(.:15051): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.

        Using the fallback 'C' locale.



3) I --disable-glx and stuffs like Fullscreen works now ! Even with dual display,
no need overlay option. Pretty good. I was told such stuffs like gl extensions will
work better in Leopard.
But Snapshot still not works. Tested with various videos and png or jpg

I compiled VLC with libpng, libjpg and libtiff. Log example :
main error: no suitable encoder module for fourcc `jpeg'.
VLC probably does not support this image format.
main error: could not create snapshot /Users/akesonchihiro/Pictures/vlcsnap-9299773.jpg
Any idea please ?

4) With the current Fink librairies, I can skip in the menu bar the display of
* Navigation (which is empty) 
* Help -> Check for updates
Can I easily customize this please ?

Thanks & congrat for the nice work!

I would like to give a few comments on the patch. You remove some  
mozilla specific code. However looking at you .info you ./configure  
with --disable-mozilla, so I guess this part is not needed.

I updated and removed the mozilla part in the patch.

You can skip the build of VLC.app by using `make vlc` instead of   
`make`. That should save an other bunch of removal in your patch.

I don't understand why you use --disable-macosx-audio and patch  
configure.ac to add macosx-audio. You want to use here --enable- 
macosx-audio.

You are right, so i should look in depth but I don't want to (take breathe for 0.9)

And my nice noob idea did well the trick :D
In a safer way I prefered to keep removing VLC.app part in the Makefile.am.
Moreover, the conditional step is " if DARWIN " so not cool for a simple make
If confirmed, I'll have to send you a patch to add a --disable-macapp in 0.9

I think that the merge-able part of the patch is the wxwidget patch.

I am eager to see your work on 0.9.0, especially with the qt4 interface.
--> Hehe be patient as I told. And don't expect too much.
If you knew I was porting stuffs on the Mac, platform I even don't know
about everything related to native stuffs and compile code too, you'll have
nightmares. I guess we call this "geek" in France ;-)
