[vlc-devel] [patch] 0.8.6f against ffmpeg svn

Hi,

I think it would be nice if we could provide this patch somewhere...  
in case people want to link vlc 0.8.6f against a newer ffmpeg version.  
As you might remember, ffmpeg changed the layout of the header files  
on installation (previous ffmpeg/*.h, now lib{avcodec,avutil}/*.h

The patch does NOT cope with the possibility to look for headers in  
old and new locations... so the patch should most likely not be  
applied in general (for any upgominc 0.8.xy series).
