WEll, I assumed somehow the interface is not only there for devs, but  
for users. I might have been wrong though.

Very sad.... maybe somebody else? If not in trunk, then I'd say the  
patch should at least go in the 0.8.6 tree, in case there will be any  
more bugfix releases... then we could at least offer this one fixed as  
well.

The patch applies against 0.8.6f as well!
