[vlc-devel] VLC_ADD_BUILTINS is broken

Hello there,

I've just noticed that VLC_ADD_BUILTINS is broken in configure.ac  
since the recent rework. This basically means that the following  
modules cannot be compiled: live555, macosx interface, ffmpeg, macosx  
audio output, goom, dvdread, ts de/muxer, macosx video output, plus a  
couple of audio converters and codecs.

As I don't have the necessary knowledge for this, this mail is just  
for awareness raising. However, I would like to remind you that our  
current goal is trying to get VLC ready for 0.9.0. Although build  
system kludges may be ugly, they can wait until after this release to  
be fixed, as they used to work okay in the past years, too. Note that  
I highly appreciate this work, however, I just don't think it's  
something to be done right now.
