You do not need to agree with the license, nor do you need to agree with any 
software license. But if you do not agree, you have no copyright license, 
such that you cannot legally use the software. In other words, a license 
without usage restrctions is not the same as no license at all.

Note that section 11 and 12 are in the "No warranty" part of the license, 
rather than in the "Terms and conditions for copying, distribution and 
modification" part. I would rather not be liable for VLC bugs.
