[vlc-devel] WxWidgets failure on windows 98SE for VLC 0.8.6h/i

Hello,

the VLC site clearly states that none of the developers still has windows 98SE.
I still have it, although I use it sparingly.
VLC version 0.8.6h and 0.8.6i fail to start on windows 98SE.
The complaint is from wxwidgets saying that VLC is doing something wrong concerning unicows.dll.
This library is installed on my system.
By deinstalling and installing other versions I found out that the latest version that works is 0.8.6f.
I could not test 0.8.6g as it has no windows version.

So either a change in 0.8.6g or 0.8.6h broke it.
If this bug will be resolved, a diff of these versions should show the culprit.

regards

Tonio
