 Hello,
Sorry for disturb you but I have a question need your help. Recently, I want to install VLC on Solaris10 U5.
My process is:
1.download vlc-0.8.6i.tar.gz from this website http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-sources.html.
2.uncompress
3.#cd /export/home/vlc-0.8.6i/
  #./bootstrap;
It displays as follows;
bash-3.2# ./bootstrap;
AUTOMAKESUCKS=no
INSTALLSUCKS=no
ACLOCAL_ARGS=-I m4
+ test -d extras/contrib/bin
amvers=no
+ automake-1.9 --version
amsuff=-1.9
amvers=-1.9
+ break
+ test -1.9 = no
libtoolize=no
+ glibtoolize --version
/bootstrap: glibtoolize: not found
+ libtoolize --version
libtoolize=libtoolize
+ test libtoolize = no
+ gettextize --version
/bootstrap: gettextize: not found
+ set +x
you need gettextize (package gettext-devel or gettext)

4. Another command displays:
#cd /export/home/vlc-0.8.6i/extras/contrib
#./bootstrap
It displays:
bash-3.2# ./bootstrap;#
+ gcc -dumpmachine
BUILD=i386-pc-solaris2.11
+ test 0 = 1
HOST=i386-pc-solaris2.11
+ rm -f config.mak
+ echo # Automatically generated by bootstrap.
+ echo # Make changes if you know what you're doing.
+ test i386-pc-solaris2.11 != i386-pc-solaris2.11
+ echo BUILD = i386-pc-solaris2.11
+ echo HOST = i386-pc-solaris2.11
+ pwd
+ echo PREFIX = /export/home/vlc-0.8.6i/extras/contrib
+ echo CC =
+ echo CXX =
+ echo LD =
+ echo RANLIB =
+ echo AR =
+ echo EXTRA_CFLAGS =
+ echo EXTRA_CPPFLAGS =  -I$(PREFIX)/include
+ echo EXTRA_LDFLAGS =
+ echo EXTRA_PATH =
+ which curl
+ echo WGET = curl -O
+ test -f /sw/bin/svn
+ test -f /usr/local/bin/svn
+ test -f /opt/local/bin/svn
+ svn help
+ echo SVN = svn
+ git help
/bootstrap: git: not found
+ echo You do not have a Git client in your PATH.
You do not have a Git client in your PATH.

How can I continue to install it? Do you know some installation and configure detail sharing with me?
Thank you very much!
Best regards
-Jun
