[vlc-devel] ffmpeg revision stability

Is there any reason why we don't stabilize the revision of ffmpeg.  We
could update the extras/contrib/src/Makefile script to only download a
particular revision of the source so that we can properly perform
regression tests when new changes are made to ffmpeg?  The latest
major changes made in ffmpeg has changed their "include" directory
structure and has caused problems within VLC.
