Hi, 

There, attached is a trivial patch to report buffer allocation error
upon stream initialization. I am evaluating to port VLC to Neuros OSD
platform (on a TI dual-core system) and spent quite a while before I
realized that my embedded system does not have enough memory for big
cache. Thus thought this patch is trivial but will help other
integrators.
