[vlc-devel] libvlc and vlc compilation in Windows

Dear all,

I'm trying to compile libvlc and vlc in Windows XP using Visual Studio 8,
and using the vlc and libvlc project files that came in msvc directory of
vlc-0.8.6 package. I compiled libvlc fine, and linked libvlc.lib in vlc
project. Now I get the following message while trying to build/compile
vlc:

"fatal error C1189: #error :  MMREG.H version 142 or greater to be
included first"

Could someone help me please?
