[vlc-devel] Jerky slow pictures on VLC streaming player

Hi,

I am running a VLC streaming out a MP4 (AV) file and RTSP from a linux
box (due processors) (192.168.2.2), and receive streaming pictures
from another linux box (due processors CentOS 5.2) (192.168.2.3) on a
local network. The received pictures were slow and jerky. I added udp
caching to following command, still could not fix it. As both linux
boxes are dual processors, I don't think the problems were caused by
the machines, I don't think it is limited in VLC either.  Appreciate
any suggestion on how to fix it.

vlc --udp-caching=100000000 rtsp://192.168.2.2:8080/test.sdp
