That's the whole point. To most subscribers of this list, the commit  
in question looks as if it was done by Rémi. Few people know, where to  
check. In fact, I don't want to check this. I just read the commits  
and would trust the ML that the commit was done by the patch creator  
unless there is a --signed-off-- message. That's what this message is  
for. Please use it.

This is inappropriate language for this mailing-list.
Additionally, no, I won't have a look for every single commit at git  
log just to make sure that the patch creator is actually the  
submitter. Think about the time all folks need to invest for this,  
just because you skipped the signed-off-msg. Furthermore, there are  
useless threads about nothing like this one.
