[vlc-devel] Gettext upgrade?

Hello there,

I've been loosely following the commits about updating Gettext or not.

Could you please discuss the reasons for gettext 0.16.1 or against,  
but please stop just reverting and committing your favourite idea. I  
really don't feel like bootstrapping multiple times per day just  
because you can't or don't want to discuss this design decision before  
committing. I don't want to blame any of you personally, just please  
stop this childish behaviour.
