Yeah, lets screw all the developpers using Debian and other UPTODATE systems 
and, oh... the build bots too, by making sure they cannot update the source 
tarballs. Just for the sake of *broken* systems and/or lazy people who can't 
be bothered to upgrade to a less than 16 months old build system. You have 
many other such stupid ideas?

And lets screw the packagers who will need more patching up the build system 
later down the line - it's not like we have such a fast release schedule.
