Okay, I'll rename the release to 0.8.6h again, if this is fine for you.

No need to think about this IMO. It's just my personal ignorance which
didn't let me think about the implications of a little announced
source code release to these communities.
Anyway, for announcement on the website I would just put VLC 0.8.6h or
do you think it would make sense to say "hey, there's 0.8.6h for Win32
and OS X plus 0.8.6g for BSD and Linux."? Releasing the current
tarball labelled 0.8.6g as binaries to OS X and Win32 user just
doesn't make much sense due to the reasons explained earlier.
