This fixes:
 - overly verbose option_TEXT strings
 - missing _LONGTEXT
 - misspelling of a macro
 - simplified the VOVERLAP and HOVERLAP options into OVERLAP
 - remove a compiler warning
 - modify the commit message to point out removal of the decoder in
   this module
