[vlc-devel] [PATCH] Variable Callbacks

This patch enhances the variable callbacks so that callbacks may be
manipulated by other
callbacks. For instance, a callback may remove itself, which is needed
for some work I am
doing..

I also took the liberty to consolidate up duplicate code, and wrote
documentation on the calls.
