[vlc-devel] How to disable all messages printed that appear when starting vlc from linux terminal?

hi all,I run vlc from a linux terminal and there are a lot of messages that appear, attached below, i want to suppress all of these messeges---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------root at 192.168.1.126:/vlc-0.8.6c-video-ok# ./vlc /Asala.aviVLC media player 0.8.6c Janusstarting VLC root wrapper... using UID 0 (root)**************************************** Running VLC as root is discouraged. ****************************************It is potentially dangerous, and might not even work properly.Remote control interface initialized.
