[vlc-devel] Play subtitle on 0.9 VLC plugin?

Hi,

Is it possible in 0.9 VLC to play subtitle SRT file with a video file
such as av.mp4? If so, what is the API which can be used for mozilla
or activex plugin? If not, which tool can be used to add SRT or
subtitle text file into a video file av.mp4 in Linux command line? I
guess ffmpeg does not support to insert subtitle text file into a
video file, correct me if I am wrong.
