[vlc-devel] Modify the video source before transcoding

Hi,

I'd like to modify the source video (e.g. video frame) images before
transcoding to another PC. Could anyone please help let me know where in the
source code should I look at to perform such a task? I know that VLC has
some thing like sfilter=time,soverlay=time to blend some time stamp into the
video source, but am still not very sure where to start.
