I opened ticket #1972 with more details. You can use any DVD as sample.

The list of issues also includes ticket #1924 - VLC crashes everytime
when TV station changes AR from 4:3 to 16:9 or vice versa.

As a workaround, please consider linking VLC with libmpeg2-0.4.1 - crashes
do not happen then. Only libmpeg2-0.5.x triggers them via SEQUENCE_MODIFIED.
