I could not care less about Windows for Crappy Electronics. Still, in my
humble opinion, there is little point in adding non-working thread support to
the main tree. There are also cases beyond the thread stuff that is simply
required code for the next lines to work.
There is also a lot of ugly ifdefs that could be avoided by providing
replacements, and/or fixing actual #include bugs instead.
