[vlc-devel] vlvc status?

greetings,
I'm investigating vlc for videoconferencing purposes, notice the advertised
homepage (http://www.vlvc.net/) is down... or rather, serving a different
purpose.

the gforge repository also seems defunct.

could someone give me the latest word on video conferencing with vlc? is
vlvc still relevant? Is there another approach?
