What licenses?

I am not aware of any IPR that VLC would infringe. I own the code and 
stuff that I submitted, and I hope and trust other contributors do the 
same.

Patents cannot be infringed by mere software, since mere software is 
explicitly outside the scope of patents. In Europe. In other venues, 
please refer to GPL2 section 7, which forbids the use of VLC should it 
infringe patents.

I am not wilfully taking that risk. For instance, I don't use, or 
distribute VLC in the US, neither do I encourage anyone to do so.

I can only recommend that the fauly LUA scripts be removed unless/until 
adequate permissions are obtained, and that users not use those. I 
cannot remove them since Antoine would forcefully to put them back, so 
I have done all I could. I think I have taken my responsibilities.
