These patches are related to a x264-patch, submitted in January to 
x264-devel list.

They allow the transcoder to detect aspec ratio changes dynamically and 
forward them to the x264 encoder.
To test this feature, you'll need a patched mplayer/vlc that can handle 
changing the aspect ratio changes while decoding.
