[vlc-devel] Future of category view of playlist

Hi, all,

Since it is not possible (at least in QT4 playlist, to my knowledge) to
create arbitrary tree nodes nor change their "name" in playlist's tree mode
it seems to me pretty useless that it is possible to move items out of nodes
or into other nodes. I makes sense to me only one of the following:
1. either nodes don't represent music folders or categories like artists,
albums etc. in which case it would be logical to make possible to rename
them and create new without dropping a folder into playlist
2. or nodes strictly represent folders, artists, albums etc. in which case
moving items out and into nodes should be disabled. Except if we implement
underlying actions that would actually move files into folders or change
meta data accordingly.

What do you think?
