[vlc-devel] open TCP connections

Someone on forums posted info about the TCP connections that vlc.exe seems to keep open.

So if you just use one vlc.exe instance, and playback multiple stream one after other, VLC seems to keep the connections alive forever. Original poster wants to know why VLC works like this (and so do I).
