Sure, no problem. And thanks for merging.

Actually this morning I tried building VLC under an older version of 
Ubuntu (7.04, 64 bit) and I got following compilation error.

control/vlm.c: In function ‘recurse_answer’:
control/vlm.c:234: error: implicit declaration of function ‘asprintf’

When removing my commit it didn't appear, I tried figuring out what I 
did wrong but I couldn't get it fixed.
Probably some mess with including. Any pointers?
